Anne H. Charity Hudley was appointed as the inaugural North Hall Endowed Chair in the Linguistics of African America at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She will also serve as the director of undergraduate research for the university’s College of Letters and Science. Dr. Hudley was the William and Mary Professor of Community Studies and an associate professor of English at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She joined the faculty there in 2005.
Professor Hudley is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University, where she majored in linguistics. She earned a master’s degree in linguistics at Harvard and a Ph.D. in linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania.
Wendelin Wright was named the Heinemann Family Professor in Engineering at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the structure of metallic glasses.
Professor Wright holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, all from Stanford University in California.
Heather E. Cameron is the Michael B. Kaufman Professor of Practice in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis. Before joining the faculty at Washington University, Professor Cameron taught at the Free University in Berlin and the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Dr. Cameron holds master’s and doctoral degrees in social and political thought from York University in Toronto. She did postdoctoral study at the Technical University of Berlin.
Dr. Quiñones, who has been serving as president of California State University, Monterey Bay, is slated to become the first Latina president of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona on July 1.
Dr. Cooper Whitehead brings extensive experience in student affairs and academic leadership to her new role. She comes to Regis university from Boston College, where she has served as vice president of student affairs since 2021.
