Established in 2004, the Schlemberger Foundation's Faculty for the Future fellowship program provides grants to women from emerging and developing economies as they pursue their Ph.D. or postdoctoral research at leading institutions around the world.
“I am proud that VCU is investing in this opportunity to deepen engagement and celebrate the remarkable generosity of women to VCU,” said Amy Gray Beck, executive director of affinity programs at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Thanks to a significant donation from Scandinavian businessman Henrik Nielsen, 42 Afghan women will receive full-tuition scholarships to attend the University of New Haven.
