Sue Maggioni has been appointed provost and vice president of academic affairs at Middlesex Community College in Massachusetts.
“I love and share in the college’s mission of student success, academic excellence, workforce-responsive education, and community engagement,” said Dr. Maggioni. “MCC has an energy and enthusiasm that lets students, employees and community members explore, learn and thrive. I see my role as one of support for faculty and staff who are working to provide students with the education they have come to MCC to receive and the growth we’re helping them achieve while they’re here with us and wherever they go next.”
Dr. Maggioni comes to her new role with more than 15 years of teaching and leadership experience in higher education. Most recently, she was assistant provost at Massachusetts Bay Community College, where she provided strategic leadership for online learning, the Academic Achievement Center, accessibility resources, library services, and the Center for Teaching and Learning.
An alumna of Trinity College in Connecticut, Dr. Maggioni holds a juris doctorate from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Pennsylvania State University.
