Kathleen Fuchs Hritz was appointed senior director of community relations at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She most recently was assistant director for Vanderbilt’s Turner Family Center for Social Ventures at the Owen Graduate School of Management.
Hritz earned a bachelor’s degree in human organizational development and Spanish from Vanderbilt. She graduated with a master’s degree in civic leadership in 2014 from Lipscomb University in Nashville.
Priscilla Mora was named vice president for academic affairs at Napa Valley College in California. She was the dean of student learning at Moorpark College in California. Earlier, she was dean of humanities, social sciences, fine and performing arts, and English at Santa Barbara City College.
Dr. Mora holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She earned a Ph.D. in teaching English as a second language at New York University.
Monika Williams Shealey, senior vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Rowan University in New Jersey, has been named chair of the board of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. Dr. Shealey joined Rowan University in 2013 as the first African American dean of the College of Education. Her research has focused on examining the experiences of minoritized groups in special education and Black women in teacher education and leadership.
Dr. Shealey received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Florida. She holds a Ph.D. in education from the University of Central Florida.
Katrina Spencer has been named senior associate vice president and deputy chief financial officer at Rice University in Houston, Texas. She has been serving in this role on an interim basis for the past four months. Before joining Rice, Spencer served as the deputy chief financial officer at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Spencer is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she majored in history. She holds a master of public administration degree from Columbia University in New York City.
Natasha Hutson has been appointed to serve as chief of staff to the president of Alcorn State University. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Hutson served as the assistant vice president for student development and dean of students at the university.
A native of Atlanta, Dr. Hudson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She earned a master of public administration degree from Florida State University and a doctorate in educational leadership from Valdosta State University in Georgia.
Amber Hutchinson was promoted to director of pre-award sponsored programs for the Office of Sponsored Programs in the Division of Research and Innovation at the University of Arkansas. She had been serving as a senior grant specialist for the Office of Sponsored Programs. Hutchinson has been on the staff at the university since 2008.
Hutchinson holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in print/editorial and a master’s degree in community health from the University of Arkansas.
