Five Women in New Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

GailGlover_SmGail C. Glover was appointed chief communications and marketing officer at the State University of New York at Geneseo. She has been serving as senior director of communications and marketing at Union College in Schenectady, New York. She has held that post since 2012. Earlier, Glover held public relations posts at Binghamton University in New York.

Glover is a summa cum laude graduate of Binghamton University, where she also earned a master’s degree in social sciences.

Crews-ShelbyShelby Crews was named director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She was manager of community relations for United Supermarkets Inc.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute was founded by the Bernard Osher Foundation in San Francisco. There are 119 such centers at colleges and universities across the United States. The center at Texas Tech was founded in 2008.

LoomisMary H. Loomis was appointed vice president of business and finance at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. She has been serving as assistant vice president for business and finance and comptroller at Savannah State University in Georgia.

Loomis is a graduate of Augusta State University in Georgia, where she majored in business administration. She holds a master of public administration degree from Savannah State University.

KellyKristene Kelly was appointed director of athletics at Keene State College in New Hampshire. For the past seven years, she has been associate director of athletics at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Earlier, Dr. Kelly was sports information director at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte.

Dr. Kelly is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, where she majored in physical education and communication arts. She holds a master’s degree in human performance and sports studies from the University of Tennessee and an educational doctorate from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama.

FisherKyle Fisher was named vice president for public relations and marketing communications for Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, effective July 11. Currently, she is vice president for public relations/marketing and alumni affairs at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.

Fisher is the former associate vice president of institutional advancement at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative and professional writing from Carnegie Mellon.
