For the past five years, Dr. Robertson has been serving as a professor of history and provost and vice president for academic affairs at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Earlier, she served as dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington.
Here is this week’s roundup of women who have been appointed to new administrative positions at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
Named to Distinguished Professorships at the State University of New York are Beverly J. Evans at the Geneseo campus and Jessica Gurevitch, Mary F. Kritzer, Ute Martha Moll. Suparna Rajaram, and Nicole S. Sampson at Stony Brook University on Long Island.
The appointees are Gail C. Glover at SUNY-Geneseo, Shelby Crews at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Mary H. Loomis at Fort Valley State University in Georgia, Kristene Kelly at Keene State College in New Hampshire, and Kyle Fisher at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Since 2012, Dr. Battles has served as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Previously, she was the founding dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado.
The board of trustees of the State University of New York system has named two women to lead SUNY campuses on an interim basis. Debra Thatcher was named acting president of SUNY Cobleskill and Carol Long was appointed interim president of SUNY Geneseo.
