New Administrative Positions for Nine Women at Colleges and Universities

Becci Menghini is the new vice chancellor for human resources and equal opportunity and compliance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Menghini has served as the interim vice chancellor for workforce strategy, equity and engagement since May 2019. She came to the university in 2015 as senior associate vice chancellor for workforce strategy, equity and engagement.

Dr. Menghini holds a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Price is the new vice president of enrollment management and strategic matriculant services at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Price most recently served as vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Florida Gateway College in Lake City.

Dr. Price holds a bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bowie State University in Maryland. She earned a doctorate in higher education leadership from Walden University.

Ellen Leverich will be the next vice president for college advancement at the State University of New York at Geneseo. She will also serve as executive director of the Geneseo Foundation. Her appointment is effective February 20. She has been serving as associate vice president for development at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.

Leverich is a graduate of SUNY-Geneseo, where she majored in communication. She holds a master of public administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Markesha M. Henderson was named director of athletics at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. She has been serving as an associate professor of business administration and director of the Center for Innovative Teaching, Learning, and Engagement at Clark Atlanta University.

Dr. Henderson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she was an All-American in track. She holds a master’s degree in sport administration from Georgia State University and a doctorate in higher education administration from George Washington University.

Anne Embree is the new director of budget and fiscal analysis at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She was a data analytics specialist for the Central Administration of the University of Nebraska System.

Embree is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she majored in business administration. She is a certified public accountant.

Venyke Harley was named director of human relations and organizational development for the 1890 Research & Extension Program at South Carolina State University. She was the loss control manager at the Municipal Association of South Carolina.

Harley is a graduate of Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management.

Beth Wolfe has been named the new executive vice president of enrollment management at the University of Charleston in South Carolina. She was director of continuing education at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

Dr. Wolfe holds a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in engineering management, and a doctorate in higher education leadership, all from Marshall University.

Angie L. Leahy has been promoted to associate vice chancellor for finance and controller at Washington University in St. Louis. Leahy joined the university in 2010 as senior tax accountant and was promoted to manager of tax in 2013 and then to assistant director of tax in 2015.

A certified public accountant, Leahy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s of accounting, both from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Kristie Norwood was appointed director of the Student Counseling Center at Hampton University in Virginia. She recently worked at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center as the assistant chief of psychology.

Dr. Norwood is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She holds a master’s degree in community counseling and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Memphis.
