North Dakota State University Promotes Four Women to Full Professor

North Dakota State University in Fargo has announced the promotion of 46 faculty members. Ten faculty members were promoted to full professor, including four women.

Margaret L. Anderson was named a full professor of accounting. She has taught at North Dakota State since 2008. Earlier in her career, she held faculty posts at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and the University of South Dakota. Professor Anderson is a graduate of Huron College in South Dakota. She holds an MBA from the University of South Dakota and a Ph.D. in business from Indiana University.

BirminghamElizabeth Birmingham was promoted to full professor of English. She has served on the university’s faculty since 2001. Professor Birmingham holds a bachelor’s degree, a master of fine arts degree in creative writing, and a Ph.D. in rhetoric and professional communication, all from Iowa State University.

YeongRheeYeong Rhee was named professor of health, nutrition, and exercise science at North Dakota State. She joined the faculty at the university in 2002 and was promoted to associate professor in 2008. Professor Rhee earned a Ph.D. in human nutrition at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

taggartAmy Rupiper Taggart was appointed professor of English. She joined the faculty at the university in 2002 and was promoted to associate professor in 2008. Dr. Taggart is the co-editor of A Guide to Composition Pedagogies (Oxford University Press, 2001, 2013). A summa cum laude graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Professor Taggart earned her Ph.D. in English at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
