Teresa Abi-Nader Dahlberg, the eleventh president of the University of Tampa in Florida, has announced she will step down from her role at the end of the Fall 2026 semester.
“Serving as president of the University of Tampa has been an honor,” said Dr. Dahlberg. “I am grateful to all university stakeholders for their commitment to this remarkable university. I especially thank the administration and staff whose talent, dedication, and hard work made our accomplishments possible. Together, we have built a strong foundation for UTampa’s next chapter. As the University approaches its Centennial, I look forward to celebrating its continued success.”

Her other leadership experience in academia includes service as dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University in New York, chief academic officer and dean of the Albert Nerken School of Engineering at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York, and associate dean of the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Dahlberg earned both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
