Catherine Punsalan-Manlimos will be the inaugural vice president for mission integration at Seattle University. She has been serving as the assistant to the president for mission integration at the University of Detroit Mercy. Earlier, Dr. Punsalan-Manlimos was a professor of theology and religious studies and the director of Catholic studies at Seattle University.
Dr. Punsalan-Manlimos is a graduate of Ateneo de Manlia University in the Philippines, where she majored in physics. She holds a master’s degree in theological studies from the Loyola School of Theology in Quezon City, Philippines and a doctorate in systematic theology from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
Irene Green will be the next executive director of The O’Shaughnessy, a cultural and exhibition space on the campus of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Green, a 20-year veteran of arts administration, will assume her role on July 5, 2022. She has been serving as the managing director of Northern Stage located in White River Junction, Vermont.
Green is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She holds a master’s degree from the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.
Aisha Jackson was appointed vice chancellor for information technology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, effective August 1. She has been serving as assistant vice provost and assistant vice chancellor for academic technology and student success at the University of Colorado Boulder.
A native of Panama, Dr. Jackson is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, where she majored in elementary education. She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Florida and a doctorate in education from the University of Colorado Denver.
The Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas has announced the hiring of Sydney Pursel as the institution’s first curator for public practice. This new position will focus on ways to include community voices in the Spencer Museum’s exhibitions and programs along with shaping the direction of the museum as a partner dedicated to equity, justice, accessibility, and community care.
Pursel is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where she majored in painting. She holds a master of fine arts degree in expanded media from the University of Kansas.

She has been serving as vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

Kawanna Leggett will be the next senior vice president for student affairs at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Most recently, she served as associate vice chancellor of student affairs at Washington University in St. Louis. Earlier, Dr. Leggett served as the director of residential education at the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Leggett is a graduate of Clemson University in South Carolina, where she majored in political science. She earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas and an educational doctorate from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.
Since 2021, Dr. Raver has been serving as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She will begin her new duties at the University of Michigan on December 1.
Dr. Rhine comes to her new presidency with nearly four decades of leadership experience in higher education. Most recently, she was president and chief executive officer of Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.
