In Memoriam: Elizabeth N. Noel, 1951-2015

Elizabeth-Noel2Elizabeth Noel, former professor of human sciences and former associate vice president for research at Prairie View A&M University in Texas, died on October 11. She was 64 years old.

Dr. Noel joined the faculty at Prairie View A&M University in 1981. She was promoted to associate professor in 1986 and to full professor in 1998. During her tenure, she served as chair of the home economics department, interim director of Cooperative Agricultural Research Center, and dean of the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences. She was named associate vice president for research in 2004. Dr. Noel retired from the university this past August.

Professor Noel held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Prairie View A&M University. She earned a Ph.D. in home economics at Kansas State University.
