
Dr. Sartorius was honored for her Ph.D. dissertation in women’s history at Kansas State University. The paper was on Emily Taylor, the dean of women at the University of Kansas from 1956 to 1974. The research highlights the changes that took place during Taylor’s tenure as dean of women, the resistance she encountered in advocating for change, and the many women she mentored during those years. The research was published in the journal Kansas History, a publication of the Kansas Historical Society.
