Laura Gilchrist was appointed to the GHR Endowed Chair for Health Education and Research in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health Sciences at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has been on the faculty since 1999 and currently serves as a professor in the doctor of physical therapy program, primarily teaching in the areas of neuroscience and pathophysiology. Her research focuses on improving physical function in children and adolescents undergoing treatment for cancer.
Dr. Gilchrist holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, as well as a bachelor’s team in physical therapy and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Minnesota.
Alison Brown has been named to the Dr. Jewel Plummer Cobb Endowed Chair at Talladega College in Alabama. She is dean of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the college. Her research focuses on the mechanisms and prevention of different types of cancer, including breast, prostate, and ovarian cancers.
Dr. Brown is a graduate of Fisk University in Nashville, where she majored in biology. She holds a master’s degree in biology from Tuskegee University in Alabama and a Ph.D. in toxicology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Goldberg, a trauma surgeon, is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. James holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in management information systems from the University of Mississippi.
