Anja Dabelić was named the inaugural assistant vice chancellor of interprofessional education and collaborative practice at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. For the past 24 years, Dr. Dabelić has been a physician and senior medical administrator with the U.S. Navy. Throughout her tenure with Navy Medicine, she has served in several leadership roles, including chair of the family medicine residency program, director of medical services at Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, and assignment officer at Navy Personnel Command.
Dr. Dabelić received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Jennifer Clark is the new executive director of the Jackson State University Development Foundation. Clark comes to her new role with more than 16 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, banking, and portfolio management. Earlier in her career, she was vice president of investor relations at Hope Enterprise Corporation and director of finance with the State of Mississippi.
Clark is a two-time alumna of Jackson State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA.
Maggie Parker is chief of staff in the Office of the Provost at the University of Georgia, where she has worked for nearly two decades. For the past three years, Dr. Parker has served as director of the Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness. During her tenure, she has also held key leadership roles with the Office of Instruction and the Office of Academic Planning. Earlier this year, she had a stint as interim assistant to the provost.
Dr. Parker earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in public administration, and a doctorate in higher education, all from the University of Georgia.
Elizabeth “Betsy” Jordan-Bell was appointed director of development for the College of Health and Human Sciences at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. Most recently, Jordan-Bell served as an independent fundraising consultant supporting a global health initiative affiliated with Stanford University in California. Earlier, she held leadership roles at Research Triangle Institute International.
Jordan-Bell is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she majored in international comparative studies. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Monique Sneed was named director of human resources at Jarvis Christian University in Hawkins, Texas. With nearly two decades of human resources leadership experience, Sneed most recently served as senior human resources manager for Medtronic, Inc. Earlier in her career, she was director of human resources at Mississippi Valley State University.
Sneed is a graduate of Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in public administration.
Michelle Williams was promoted to vice president for business and finance at Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Williams has worked for the college since 2003. Throughout her tenure, she has served in various financial services roles. Most recently, she was director of financial services.
Williams is an alumna of Grove City College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Charlyn A. Hilliman is the new chief information officer at Tuskegee University in Alabama. Dr. Hilliman has an extensive background in higher education, including key leadership roles at Capella University and Columbia University. At Florida International University, she served as the associate vice president of information technology and associate chief health information officer for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
Dr. Hilliman received her bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and her master of public administration degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York (CUNY). She holds a Ph.D. in criminal justice from the CUNY Graduate Center.
Johngerlyn Young is vice president of institutional advancement at Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina. Dr. Young comes to her new role with nearly 30 years of experience in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, and institutional advancement. Her professional expertise includes major gifts, planned giving, endowment development, capital campaigns, annual giving, foundation and corporate relations, donor stewardship, and board engagement.
Dr. Young earned her bachelor’s degree in public administration and her master’s degree in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She holds a doctor of business administration degree in organizational management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Katie Stores is assistant dean of finance for the College of Natural Resources and Environment at Virginia Tech. Dr. Stores has more than 18 years of experience in higher education finance, research administration, operations, and organizational leadership. She most recently served as associate vice president for finance, operations, and research administration at West Virginia University. Before that, she served in various operations and finance roles at Emory University in Atlanta.
Stores received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from Concord University in West Virginia. She holds a master’s degree in political science, a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in health care administration, and a doctorate in political science and public policy from West Virginia University.
Dr. Barkley is slated to become the first woman president of Spoon River College on August 31. She comes to her new role from John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois, where she serves as vice president of academic and student affairs.
Dr. Konan, a professor of economics and dean of the College of Social Sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, has been selected to serve as the university's interim provost. A faculty member for more than 30 years, she previously served as interim chancellor.
Dr. Glover has served as River Valley's chair of allied health programs for the past five years, overseeing the licensed practical nursing, respiratory therapy, radiological technology, and medical laboratory technician programs.
