Researchers at the University of Albany are conducting a study to see if low or moderate levels of arsenic in drinking water increase the risk of miscarriage among pregnant women. The research will involve women in the Romanian city of Timisoara, an area known to have low to moderate levels of arsenic in the main drinking water supply due to natural causes.
The research is being supported by a $150,514 grant from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
