Eleven Women Appointed to New University Administrative Posts

Lisa HolstomLisa A. Holstrom was named senior assistant dean of academic services for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. She was the managing director of Academic Partnerships, an online educational firm. Previously, she served in several posts at the University of Cincinnati, including assistant dean for enrollment management in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services.

Dr. Holstrom is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She holds a master’s degree in Spanish from Kent State University in Ohio and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Cincinnati.

EngelbourgKaren Engelbourg was promoted to vice president for development at Boston University. She has been serving as senior associate vice president for development. She joined the university’s staff in 2010 as an assistant dean in the School of Medicine.

Engelbourg is a graduate of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she majored in history.

tjohanssonTheresa Johansson was appointed director of the Global Education Office at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg. She was the assistant director of global education at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Johansson is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and holds a master’s degree in Italian from Middlebury College in Vermont.

eardleyEllen Eardly was named Title IX administrator at the University of Missouri. She is a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm Mehri & Skalet and was an adjunct professor in the College of Law at American University.

Eardly is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

striplingDorothy Stripling is the new interim chief financial officer at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. She has been serving as director of accounting services and assistant controller. She joined the staff at Fort Valley State in 2006.

Stripling holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in education from Fort Valley State University.

GoldsteinJodi Goldstein was named the Evans Family Foundation Managing Director of the Harvard Innovation Lab. She has been on the staff of the business incubator since its founding in 2011.

Goldstein is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she majored in international business. She earned an MBA at Harvard Business School.

Lynn HolleranLynn Holleran was appointed senior associate athletic director for administration at Pennsylvania State University. She was the director of the McNamara Academic Center for Student Athletes at the University of Minnesota.

A native of Pittsburgh, Holleran is graduate of Beloit College in Wisconsin. She holds a master’s degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

bilenGreen.jpgCanan Bilen-Green was promoted to vice provost for faculty at North Dakota State University. She has been serving as vice provost for faculty advancement and professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering at the university. She has been on the university’s faculty since 1994.

Dr. Bilen Green is a graduate of Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. She holds a master’s degree from Middle East Technical University in Ankara and a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming.

Christa-JohnsonChrista Johnson was named associate vice president for research administration at Colorado State University. She has been serving as assistant vice chancellor for research services at Washington University in St. Louis. Earlier in her career, Dr. Johnson was associate dean for research at Southern Illinois University.

Dr. Johnson holds an MBA from Washington University and a Ph.D. in humanities and German studies from Stanford University.

Jennifer ScottJennifer A. Scott is the new director of the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been working as a consultant to the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience in New York. Previously, she served on the faculty at The New School for Public Engagement. Scott is co-editor of Anywhere but Here: Black Intellectuals, the Atlantic World and Beyond (University Press of Mississippi, 2015).

Scott is a graduate of Stanford University. She holds a master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in African American studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

cervoskySusan K. Cerovsky was named director of the Center for Cybersecurity at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She joins the university after serving 30 years in the United States Navy.

Cerovsky is a graduate of the University of South Alabama. She holds a master’s degree in information technology management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
