Nadya Mason was named vice president for research at the University of Chicago, where she serves as dean of the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering. Dr. Mason, the Robert J. Zimmer Professor of Molecular Engineering, was appointed to her current deanship in 2023. Before joining the Chicago faculty, she was the Rosalyn Sussman Yalow Professor of Physics, director of the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, and founding director of the Illinois Materials Research Science and Engineering Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Mason received her bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard University and her Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University in California.
Alison Mackey is vice president for graduate studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. A faculty member since 1998, Dr. Mackey currently teaches as a professor of linguistics. She was appointed chair of the department of linguistics in 2021 following two terms as director of the department’s graduate studies. An interdisciplinary scholar, she investigates second language learning across the lifespan, including how additional languages are learned at different ages.
Dr. Mackey received her bachelor’s degree from Lancaster University in England and her master’s degree in linguistics from the University of Cambridge in England. She holds a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Sydney in Australia.
Colleen Galambos is interim head and associate dean for the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A professor of social work at the university, Dr. Galambos currently holds the Helen Barder Endowed Chair in Applied Gerontology. Her current research interests include care transitions, advance care planning/end of life decision making, aging in place, health and long-term care systems quality improvement, gerontechnology, older adults and behavioral health, caregiving and abuse in later life, and competency based gerontological education.
Dr. Galambos is a graduate of Cornell University, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in community service eduaction and social work. She earned her master of social work degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore and her Ph.D. in social work from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Fayron Epps is the new associate dean for the School of Nursing in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University. Her appointment marks a return to the university, where she previously served on the nursing faculty from 2016 to 2019. More recently, Dr. Epps was the Endowed Chair of the Center for Caregiving at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Her work centers on dementia care, caregiving support, and health equity.
Dr. Epps earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Tuskegee University in Alabama. She holds a master’s degree in nursing and health care systems from Loyola University New Orleans and a Ph.D. in nursing from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Professor Okidegbe is a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, where she majored in history. She holds law degrees from McGill University in Montreal and Columbia University in New York.
