Sandra Stith was appointed the Virginia Mowrey McAninch Professor of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University. She joined the university faculty in 2007.
Professor Stith is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. She holds a master’s degree and a doctorate in marriage and family therapy from Kansas State University.
Leigh A. Neumayer was named to the Margaret E. and Fenton L. Maynard Endowed Chair in Breast Cancer Research at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine. She will also serve as the first woman to chair of the department of surgery. She was a professor of surgery and vice chair for academic affairs at the University of Utah’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Neumayer holds a master’s degree in clinical research design and statistical analysis from the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. She is a graduate of the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is the co-author of Meet Virginia: Biography of a Breast (2010).
Nina G. Jablonski was named an Evan Hugh Professor at Pennsylvania State University. She has been serving as a Distinguished Professor in the department of anthropology at Penn State. She joined the university’s faculty in 2006.
Dr. Jablonski is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. She holds a Ph.D. in biological anthropology from the University of Washington.
Karen McElrath was appointed the Dudley E. Flood Endowed Professor of Criminal Justice at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She has been serving as a professor of criminal justice at the university. Previously, she taught at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the University of Miami, and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.
Professor McElrath holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Louisville. She earned a Ph.D. in criminology from Florida State University.
Susanne Marchand was named to a Boyd Professorship at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She came to LSU in 1999 after teaching history at the University of Chicago and Princeton University.
Professor Marchand is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
