Sienna Craig has been named the Jane and Raphael Bernstein Professor in Asian Studies in the department of anthropology. A Dartmouth faculty member since 2006, she also holds the title of South House Professor. Her scholarly work spans several disciplines, including women’s and children’s health, global health, traditional medicine, and aging across cultures. She has conducted research in the Nepal Himalaya and the Tibetan regions of China, as well as diasporic communities from these regions living in the United States.
Dr. Craig is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University, where she majored in religious studies. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from Cornell University.
Laura Edmondson has been named the Helman Family Distinguished Professor in the department of theatre. She holds faculty affiliations with Dartmouth’s programs in African and African American studies and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. Her academic expertise focuses on postcolonial African drama, feminist and queer performance, translational theatre history, and human rights and performance. She is the author of two books: Performance and Politics in Tanzania: The Nation on Stage (Indiana University Press, 2007) and Performing Trauma in Central Africa: Shadows of Empire (Indiana University Press, 2018).
Dr. Edmondson received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Williams is an alumna of Dartmouth College, where she majored in mathematics. She holds a master’s degree in economics for development from the University of Oxford in England and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
