Andreia Nebel Will Be the Eighth President of Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska

Andreia Nebel was appointed the eighth president of Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. She will take office on May 1.

Clarkson College, founded in 1888, enrolls about 1,200 students about half of which are graduate students. Women make up 88 percent of the undergraduate student body. The vast majority of students are studying in a healthcare field.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in this new role and excited for all the good work Clarkson College and the community will continue to provide for the next 135 years,” Dr. Nebel said. “Clarkson College is an amazing institution, made up of the best students, faculty, staff, and alumni. There’s no place I’d rather be.”

For the past eight years, Dr. Nebel has served as vice president for academic affairs at the college. She joined the college’s faculty 20 years ago.

Dr. Nebel earned a bachelor’s degree in health and human development from Montana State University. She earned a doctorate in physical therapy degree in 2002 and an educational doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership in 2020, both from Creighton University in Omaha.
