Marlene Tromp comes to her new role from Boise State University in Idaho, where she has served as president for the past six years. Her background includes administrative and academic experience at several institutions across the country.

The new deans are Holly Wei at the School of Nursing at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Jessica Clark at the College of Nursing at Creighton University in Omaha, Sarah Price at the College of Education at Florida A&M University, and Ramah Campbell at Robeson Community College in Lumberton, North Carolina.

For the past five years, Heather A. Smith, a healthcare administrator, has served as vice president of ambulatory services and previously vice president of pediatrics at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha.

For the past eight years, Dr. Nebel has served as vice president for academic affairs at the college. She joined the college's faculty 20 years ago. The vast majority of students at the college are studying in a healthcare discipline.

Dr. Ezzell has served as interim chancellor since July 2022. Prior to her appointment as interim chancellor, she was an associate professor and chair of the education, health, and human services department. She began her academic career in 2003 as a clinical instructor in the nursing program at the University of New Mexico-Gallup after a career as a registered nurse.

After earning a Ph.D. in German studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Vanchena joined the faculty at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She joined the faculty at the University of Kansas in 2008. There, she served as director of the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies.

Magda Hinojosa has been appointed dean of social sciences for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University. Dorothy E. Mosby will be the next dean of the faculty and vice president for academic affairs at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and Gayla Stoner will be the next dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Education at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

The new deans are Amy Friedman Wilson at the Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in Omaha, Celeste M. Watkins-Hayes at the University of Michigan, Christina Economos at Tufts University in Boston, T. Camille Martin-Thomsen at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Vrushali Bokil at Oregon State University, and Mary M. White at South Carolina State University.

The four women appointed to endowed chairs are Daphna Shohamy at Columbia University in New York City, Thavolia Glymph at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, Millicent Sullivan at the University of Delaware, and Rachel Mindrup at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

The women appointed to dean posts are Kelly F. Millenbah at Michigan State University, Kalynda Holton at Tallahassee Community College in Florida, Jillian Wallen at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, Cindy Lakers at Texas Tech University, Donna Strum at the University of Mississippi, and Gwenda Richburg Greene at Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina.

Since 2013, Dr. Novak has been president of Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. Before being appointed president, she was provost from 2007 to 2013 and vice president for enrollment management from 2004 to 2007.
