Colleges and Universities Announce the Appointments of Eight Women to Administrative Positions

Sue Oldham has been named associate dean of MBA operations at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She was executive director of alumni engagement and external relations for the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University in Houston.

Oldham is a graduate of Rice University where she majored in English. She holds an MBA in marketing from Vanderbilt University.

Erica Perkins Jasper has been named director of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletics at the Claremont Colleges in California. She currently serves as chief operating officer for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Jasper is a summa cum laude graduate of Washington State University where she majored in history and minored in French. She also holds a master’s degree in education from Washington State University.

Chalese Connors has been named director of the Pioneer MoneyWise Center at Texas Woman’s University. She has served at the university for over two decades, most recently as director of athletics.

Connors is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Latonya Flamer has been named interim vice president of business and finance at Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has been a member of the Bennett community for more than 10 years, most recently serving as associate vice president for business and finance and controller.

Flamer is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University where she majored in accounting and minored in Spanish. She holds an MBA in accounting from High Point University in North Carolina.

Kas Williams has been named chief diversity officer at South Dakota State University. She is currently serving as interim director of the university’s Office of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Access.

Williams is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where she majored in criminal justice. She is currently completing a master of education degree in administration of student affairs from South Dakota State University.

Mary Ann Villarreal has been named the inaugural vice president for equity, diversity, and inclusion at the University of Utah. Currently, she serves as associate vice president of strategic initiatives at California State University, Fullerton.

Dr. Villarreal is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where she majored in women’s studies. She holds a doctorate in history from Arizona State University.

Jami Reynolds has been named chief information officer at Tuskegee University in Alabama. She previously served as chief information officer at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland.

Reynolds holds a bachelor’s degree in decision sciences and management information systems and a master’s degree in information systems both from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Mariet Westermann has been named vice chancellor of New York University Abu Dhabi. She currently serves as executive vice president for programs and research at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Dr. Westermann is a magna cum laude graduate of Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. both from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University.

Two Women Selected for Key Interim Leadership Roles with the Universities of Wisconsin

Renée Wachter, chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, has been selected to serve as interim president of the Universities of Wisconsin. Maria Cuzzo, provost of UW-Superior, will serve as the university's interim chancellor while Dr. Wachter assumes her new responsibilities.
