Ting Zhu is the Jack A. Hockema Chair in Business at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. A faculty member since 2016, Dr. Zhu currently serves as department head for marketing in the university’s Mitch Daniels School of Business. Her teaching interests include new product management, marketing analysis, consumer behavior, customer relationship management, and pricing. As a scholar, she studies entry models, consumer choices, retail competition, pricing, new technology adoption, and health and sustainability in marketing. Prior to joining the Purdue faculty, Dr. Zhu taught at the University of British Columbia, the University of Chicago, and Tsinghua University in China.
Dr. Zhu earned her bachelor’s degree in management information systems and her master’s degree in business administration from Tsinghua University. She received a second master’s degree and a Ph.D. in marketing from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Crystal Levesque is the inaugural Rick Wahlstrom Endowed Chair in Swine Production at South Dakota State University. Dr. Levesque, a professor of monogastric nutrition, has been a faculty member with the university since 2013. Her main research interests are protein and amino acid metabolism during pregnancy and maternal nutritional influence on offspring growth and development. She is actively involved in collaborative research on the impacts of alternative feeds and dietary additives on piglet growth, immune function and gut health postweaning, and the use of the pig as a model for human health.
Dr. Levesque earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. She holds a Ph.D. in nutrition and metabolism from the University of Alberta in Canada.
Michelle Theriault Boots is the new Atwood Chair of Journalism at the University of Alaska Anchorage. A longtime reporter with the Anchorage Daily News, Theriault Boots has taught at the university since 2010. Throughout her career, she has worked for newspapers in California, Washington, and Oregon, as well as international media outlets in Ghana and South Africa.
Theriault Boots is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where she majored in politics. She holds a master’s degree in literary nonfiction from the University of Oregon.
