Denise Seigart Appointed Dean of the College of Health Sciences at East Stroudsburg University

Denise SeigartDenise Seigert will be the next dean of the College of Health Sciences at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. Her appointment is effective on August 21.

The university, located in the northeast corner of the state, enrolls nearly 7,000 students. Women make up 56 percent of the student body.

Dr. Seigart has been serving as associate director of undergraduate and master’s degree nursing programs and professor of nursing at Boise State University in Idaho. Before joining the faculty at Boise State in 2014, Dr. Seigart served as a professor and/or administrator at Binghamton University in New York, Mansfield University in Pennsylvania, and Stevenson University in Maryland. Dr. Seigart is co-editor of Feminist Evaluation and Research: Theory and Practice (Guilford Press, 2014).

Professor Seigart is a nursing graduate of Niagara University in New York. She holds a master’s degree in community health nursing from Binghamton University in New York and a Ph.D. in human service studies from Cornell University.
