Barbara Krauthamer is the new dean of the Graduate School at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is an associate professor of history at the university and has been serving as associate dean for student inclusion and engagement for the Graduate School. Dr. Krauthamer joined the university’s faculty in 2008.
Judy Wiles was appointed interim dean of the Harrison College of Business at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. She is chair of the department of management and marketing at the business school and also serves as director of the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Wiles will begin her service as dean on July 1.
Dr. Wiles has served on the university’s faculty for 32 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA at Southeast Missouri State University and holds a doctorate in business administration from the University of Memphis.
Robin Ploeger is the new dean of the Oxley College of Health Sciences at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. She has been serving as interim dean since November and earlier was associate dean. Dr. Ploeger joined the faculty at the university in 1995 to teach athletic training.
Dr. Ploeger is a graduate of Ohio University. She holds a master’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University.
Robin Sronce will be the next dean of the David R. Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. She will take office on July 5. Dr. Sronce has been serving as dean of the Breech School of Business and associate professor of management at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
Dr. Sronce is a graduate of Drury University. She earned an MBA and a Ph.D. in business administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Nancy Pollock-Ellwand was chosen as the next dean of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona. Since 2010, she has served as a professor and dean of the Faculty of Environment Design at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Pollock-Ellward is a graduate of the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. She earned a master’s degree in architecture at the University of Manitoba and a Ph.D. in planning at the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
Dr. Scarlatta has led the University of Michigan-Dearbon on an interim basis for the past year. Pending approval from the board of regents, she is slated to become the university's permanent leader on May 22.
Nicole Reaves has been serving as executive vice president and chief programs officer at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. On July 15, she is slated to become the first woman president of Schenectady County Community College within the State University of New York System.
Dr. Bear, a longtime leader and advocate for international public health, is the new leader of Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University-affiliated global health organization dedicated to improving the health and lives of women and families around the world.
Dr. Fleuriet comes to her new role from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she has been serving as vice provost for honors education and a professor of anthropology.
Dr. Burris has served as provost of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina for the past four years. She is slated to become the next president of SUNY's Buffalo State University on July 1.
