
Yale University received a $3.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense to develop a new technology platform that will create molecules that can distinguish between healthy and diseased cells with a focus on breast cancer cells. The new platform may produce a new way to diagnosis breast cancer.
The University of Rhode Island received funding from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Special Grant Program in the Chemical Sciences for a week-long chemistry camp for middle school girls in both 2013 and 2014. The camp will take place in April when the local public schools have spring break.

Dr. Levine holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Columbia University.
