Late last month the Rhodes Trust announced the names of 32 American students who won scholarships for graduate study at Oxford University in England. Fifteen of the 32 American winners in 2012 are women. More on these women is available here.
In addition to these American women, there are at least two women attending American universities who won Rhodes Scholarship as citizens of another country.

At Johns Hopkins, Gardner is captain of the swimming team and is a member of Bermuda’s national teams in swimming and sailing.

Naegele is majoring in philosophy and history. Her research focuses on the Weimar Republic in Germany from the end of World War I to the Nazi takeover in 1933. At Oxford, she is planning to obtain a master’s degree in modern British and European history. She later hopes to return to the United States to attend law school.
