Madeline Burillo-Hopkins Named President of Dallas College’s Brookhaven Campus

Madeline Burillo-Hopkins has been named president of the Brookhaven campus of Dallas College.

Across its online and physical campuses, the Dallas College system enrolls over 64,000 undergraduate students, 59 percent of whom are women. Dr. Burillo-Hopkins will lead operations for the college’s Brookhaven campus in Farmers Branch, Texas.

Dr. Burillo-Hopkins comes to her new presidency with over three decades of higher education experience. Most recently, she spent 25 years with Houston Community College, serving as vice chancellor for workforce instruction for the community college’s system. She also held a joint appointment as president of HCC Southwest, where she led operations for four campus locations. She has an extensive background in strategic planning, developing continuing education and apprenticeship programs, and establishing community partnerships.

Dr. Burillo-Hopkins is a gradaute of the University of Puerto Rico, where she majored in economics. She holds a master’s degree in organizational management form the University of Phoenix and a doctorate in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
