Following her retirement as president of Montana State University at the end of this academic year, Dr. Cruzado will step in as president of the APLU, an organization dedicated to supporting public and land-grant institutions across North America.
Dr. Burillo-Hopkins comes to her new presidency after over three decades of higher education experience. Most recently, she served as vice chancellor for workforce instruction for the Houston Community College System, and president of the community college's Southwest campuses.
Dr. Myra Blanco is the principal investigator of four current National Highway Traffic Safety Administration projects. These involve in-depth evaluations of semi-automated-vehicle functions, heavy-vehicle crash warning interfaces, vehicle electronic systems safety, and vehicle-to-vehicle and driver-vehicle interface characteristics.
Zulma R. Toro is executive vice chancellor and provost at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has held this post since 2013. Previously, Dr. Toro was dean of the College of Engineering at Wichita State University in Kansas.
