Sharon Nagy has been appointed vice provost for international affairs at Clemson University in South Carolina. She has been serving as an associate professor of anthropology and director of study-abroad programs at DePaul University in Chicago. Her research is focused on the ethnography of states in the Arabian peninsula.
“This is a dream job — at a university with a broad range of existing international initiatives and a clear desire to increase students’ global engagement,” Dr. Nagy said. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to share my passion for international education with the Clemson community.”
Dr. Nagy is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she majored in political economy. She earned a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania.
