Deborah Gross was appointed the Charles “Jim” and Marjorie Kade Professor of the Sciences at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She teaches courses in analytical chemistry, laboratory and research methods, and climate science and environmental chemistry.
Dr. Gross is a graduate of Haverford College in Pennsylvania, where she majored in chemistry. She holds a Ph.D. in analytical/physical chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
Melynda J. Price has been appointed as the inaugural J. David Rosenberg Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky. She joined the law school faculty at the University of Kentucky in 2006. Dr. Price is the author of At the Cross: Race, Religion, and Citizenship in the Politics of the Death Penalty (Oxford University Press, 2015).
Dr. Price is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University in Texas, where she majored in physics. She holds a juris doctorate from the University of Texas and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Michigan.
Katja Seim, an expert on industrial organization and applied microeconomics who joined the Yale School of Management faculty in 2019, was appointed the inaugural Sharon Oster Professor of Economics and Management. She is the former chief economist for the Federal Communication Commission. Dr. Seim taught for 14 years at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and for five years at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Seim is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she majored in mathematics and economics. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University.
