Anne Carson Daly, president of Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York, announced that she will step down from her post on April 15. A college spokesperson said that President Daly’s resignation was due to “family issues that have to be dealt with in an immediate fashion.” Dr. Daly has been president of the college since July 2014. Earlier, she was vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina.
Dr. Daly is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where she double majored in English and history. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in English literature from Johns Hopkins University.
Karen Britton, director of career services at the College of Law at the University of Tennessee, has stepped down after more than 20 years of service to the law school and 25 years to the university. During her tenure at the law school, she served as director of admissions and director of financial aid.
Dr. Britton holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and literatures, a master’s degree in higher education administration, and an educational doctorate, all from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Susan K. Redwood, professor of behavioral sciences in the Center for Health Sciences at Oklahoma State University, is retiring as of April 1.
Professor Redwood earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Stony Brook University of the State University of New York System.
Sally Lundeen, dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, announced that she will retire on June 30. Dr. Lundeen has been on the faculty at the university since 1985 and was named interim dean in 1998 and dean in 2001. Earlier, she was executive director of Erie Family Health Center, a federally funded community health center in Chicago.
Dr. Lundeen is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
