Sally Roberts, associate dean for teacher education and undergraduate programs at the University of Kansas School of Education, is retiring at the end of the academic year. She joined the staff at the university in 1983 and has been associate dean since 2006. She has taught a course on American sign language at the university for the past 25 years.
Dr. Roberts is a graduate of Wichita State University in Kansas. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Kansas.
Patricia C. Donohue is stepping down next month as president of Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey. She has served as president of the college since February 2007. Previously, Dr. Donohue was president of Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Donohue is a graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she majored in mathematics. She holds a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Denise A. Roche, president of D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, has announced that she will retire on July 1, 2016. President Roche has served as leader of the college since 1979.
Dr. Roche is a graduate of D’Youville College, where she majored in sociology and social work. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from Boston University and a doctorate from the University of Massachusetts.
Since 2021, Dr. Raver has been serving as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She will begin her new duties at the University of Michigan on December 1.
Dr. Rhine comes to her new presidency with nearly four decades of leadership experience in higher education. Most recently, she was president and chief executive officer of Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona.
