Three Women Added to the Faculty at Penn State-Beaver

PSUSealThe Pennsylvania State University Beaver Campus in Monaca, northwest of Pittsburgh, has announced the hiring of three women to its faculty. The campus enrolls about 800 students.

Amy Camodeca was hired as an assistant professor of psychology. For the past two years, she has been a postdoctoral research fellow in pediatric neuropsychology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dr. Camodeca is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Denver and a Ph.D. in child clinical psychology from the University of Windsor in Canada.

Stephanie Cabarcas will be an instructor in biology. She has been serving as an instructor in biology at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Cabarcas is a graduate of High Point University in North Carolina, where she majored in biology. She earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in biological sciences from St. John’s University in Queens, New York.

Marissa Mendozza-Burcham was appointed assistant professor of psychology. She has been working at the Merck Child and Adolescent Program Center for Children and Families at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has taught at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Long Star College in The Woodlands, Texas. Dr. Mendozza-Burcham is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine. She earned a master’s degree in psychology at McNeese State University and a doctorate in school psychology from Texas A&M University.

Caroline Attardo Genco Named the First Woman President of the University at Buffalo

Dr. Geneco comes to her new role from Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she has served as provost for the past four years. She is slated become the University at Buffalo's first woman president on August 10.
