Four Women Promoted to High-Level Positions at Post University

updated-post-university-logoPost University in Waterbury, Connecticut, has appointed four women to key leadership positions. The university, founded in 1890, enrolls about 4,800 undergraduate students and 800 graduate students. Women make up 60 percent of the undergraduate student body.

Jane_Bailey-videoJane Bailey was promoted to provost. Since 2010, she has been serving as dean of the School of Education. Dr. Bailey is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta. She holds a master’s degree from San Diego State University and an educational doctorate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

jill-bubanJill Buban was named dean of the School of Education. She joined the university in 2012 as academic program manager in the master of education degree program. Buban is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and is completing work on an educational doctorate at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

elizabeth_johnsonElizabeth Johnson was appointed dean of the School of Arts & Sciences. She has been serving as acting dean. Dr. Johnson joined the university in 2006 as an associate professor of environmental science. She is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she majored in earth and environmental science. She holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in plant and soil sciences from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

veronica-montalvoVeronica Montalvo was promoted to senior vice president of enrollment management. She was vice president of enrollment management. She joined the admissions office of the university in 2005. A graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, she earned an MBA at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut.
