West Chester University in Pennsylvania has recently launched The Women’s and Gender Studies Collection, a program dedicated to advancing the discipline of women’s and gender studies.
The new collection is a free, online resource for reliable information on race, gender, and sexuality. It is available to students, faculty, and staff interested in women’s and gender studies, as well as other educators and local community members.
Hosted by West Chester University’s department of women’s and gender studies and the Center for Women and Gender Equity, the collection was created by Lisa Huebner, professor of women’s and gender studies. The program was made possible through a $100,000 grant from the Mellon Foundation’s Affirming Multivocal Humanities initiative. The grant was awarded earlier this year and is the university’s first-ever Mellon Foundation grant.
The Women’s and Gender Studies Collection can be accessed here.
