Yizhou Huang has joined the faculty at Barnard College in New York City as an assistant professor of theatre. She previously taught at Tufts University in Massachusetts, Florida State University, and Saint Louis University in Missouri. As a scholar, her research specializes in theatre history and historiography, Chinese theatre, Asian American theatre, and global Asian performance.
Dr. Huang received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from Beijing Foreign Studies University and her Ph.D. in theatre and performance studies from Tufts University in Massachusetts.
Erica D. Musser has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of psychology. Prior to her new role, she served as a faculty member with the department of psychology at Florida International University. Her scholarship focuses on the nature and clinical presentation of neurodevelopmental disabilities with a focus on ADHD, autism, and related disabilities.
Dr. Musser received her bachelor’s degree in biology and clinical and social sciences in psychology and her master’s degree in human development from the University of Rochester in New York. She holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon.
Lucy Simko has joined the faculty as an assistant professor of computer science. She comes to Barnard from George Washington University, where she served as a postdoctoral research scientist. She works at the intersection of computer security and human-computer interaction, with a particular focus on computer security-related needs, practices, and experiences of underserved populations.
Dr. Simko holds a Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from the University of Washington.

Dr. Tseng holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University in California.

Dr. Xia received her bachelors degree and master’s degree in classical Chinese literature from Fudan University in China and her Ph.D. in East Asian studies from Princeton University.
