Nidhi Pashine has been named an assistant professor of physics at Syracuse University in New York. She previously served as a postdoctoral associate in mechanical engineering at Yale University.
Dr. Pashine holds a master’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago.
Jacqueline Brooks has joined the faculty of the School of Education at Tuskegee University in Alabama. She has been with the school for the past year serving as the assessment and field placement coordinator.
Dr. Brooks is a graduate of Alabama State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in secondary education and teaching. She received her master’s degree and Ph.D. in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Kang Xia has been appointed associate director of the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has been a professor in Virginia Tech’s School of Plant and Environmental Sciences since 2012. She also serves as director of the university’s Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture.
