Jennifer Dugan Is the New Provost at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio

Jennifer J. Dugan is the new provost at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. The university enrolls about 1,500 undergraduate students and more than 600 graduate students. Women make up 54 percent of the undergraduate student body.

“I am excited by Muskingum’s commitment to a liberal arts foundation and to embracing innovative opportunities. Muskingum offers high-quality programs that are accessible and affordable to undergraduate, adult, and graduate students,” Dr. Dugan said. “I look forward to working with Muskingum’s exceptional faculty, staff, and campus partners to strengthen engagement, inclusion, and all elements of the distinctive Muskingum Experience.”

Since 2019, Dr. Dugan has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pikesville in Kentucky. From 2016 to 2019, she was director of faculty programs for the Associated Colleges of the South. Earlier in her career, Dr. Dugan served on the political science faculty at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Dr. Dugan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University. She earned a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Riverside.
