Since 2019, Dr. Dugan has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pikesville in Kentucky. Earlier in her career, Dr. Dugan served on the political science faculty at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Dr. Buckley has been serving as vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Connecticut State Community Colleges in New Britain. She previously served as associate vice president for enrollment services at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland.ÂÂ
Rowlands is a professor of theatre at Northern Kentucky University. From 2014 to 2020, she was provost and executive vice president for academic affairs at the university. Earlier, she was a professor of theatre and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech.
The four women named to diversity posts are Harris Akinloye at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, Keesha Burke-Henderson at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia, Mary J. Wardell-Ghirarduzzi at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and Constance Porter, at Rice University in Houston.
Karin Peterson, a professor and chair of the department of sociology and anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, has agreed to serve as acting provost during the Spring 2018 semester.
