Six Women Who Have Been Appointed to Administrative Posts at Colleges and Universities

Meghan E. Kass was appointed chief financial officer at Simmons University in Boston. For the past 14 years, she has served Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, in a variety of leadership roles, most recently as vice president for finance and administration and treasurer.

Kass, a certified public accountant, is a graduate of Providence College and earned an MBA at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Slandie Dieujuste has been hired as vice president for student affairs at Springfield College in Massachusetts, effective July 1. She is currently vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts, a position she has held since 2018. She is the former associate vice provost for residence and Greek life at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dr. Dieujuste received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Boston College. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

Karin Wikoff has been named interim librarian at Ithaca College in New York. She has been with Ithaca College since 2004, providing leadership in the area of electronic and technical resources for the library since 2007.

Wikoff is a graduate of Wells College in Aurora, New York, where she majored in German. She holds a master’s degree in German studies from Cornell University and a master of library and information science degree from Syracuse Univerity.

Autumn Lewis Spicher was named director of development for the Honors College at the University of Arkansas. For the last three years, she has worked as the associate director of placement and operations for the Arkansas Academy for Educational Equity. Earlier, she was assistant director of development for the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas.

Spicher is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she majored in political science and economics. She is completing work on a master of public administration degree from the university.

Sally Parker has been named chief of staff in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Government and Community Relations at Vanderbilt University. She has been serving as assistant vice provost at the university.

Dr. Parker is a graduate of Belmont Univerity in Nashville, where she majored in political science and French. She earned her Ph.D. in political science at Florida State University.

Julie Hail Flory has been appointed vice chancellor for marketing and communications at Washington University in St. Louis. She has been serving as interim vice chancellor for public affairs. She came to Washington University in 2014 as assistant vice chancellor for campus communications.

Flory earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from San José State University and her master’s degree in American culture studies from Washington University.
