Teresa Nicolson has been named a professor of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery. She was a professor at the Oregon Hearing Research Center at the Oregon Health and Science University.
Dr. Nicolson holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Western Washington University and a Ph.D. in biological chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Sonia Tikoo-Schantz has been named an assistant professor of geophysics. She was an assistant professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Dr. Tikoo-Schantz holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in planetary science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Stephanie Tully has been named an assistant professor of marketing in the Graduate School of Business. She was an assistant professor of marketing at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Tully is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of San Francisco where she majored in business administration with a marketing concentration and a minor in economics. She also holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. both in marketing from New York University.
Gabrielle Wong-Parodi has been named an assistant professor of earth system science and a Center Fellow in the Woods Institute for the Environment. She was an assistant research professor in the department of engineering and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Wong-Parodi holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in energy and resources both from the University of California, Berkeley.
Dr. Soufleris, a three-time alumna of the State University of New York System, has more than 35 years of higher education experience spanning student affairs, enrollment management, retention, and student success initiatives.
Most recently, Dr. Van Vlerah served as vice president for student success and institutional strategy at Manchester University in Indiana. She is slated to become the fifteenth president of Notre Dame of Maryland University on July 6.
Dr. Egan comes to her new role as president of Bennington College from Connecticut College, where she has been serving as the Fuller-Maathai Professor of Gender, Sexuality, and Intersectionality Studies, dean of the faculty, and chief academic officer.
Dr. Pfluger has spent the past year as Bakersfield College's interim president. She previously served as vice chancellor of educational services and student success at the Kern Community College District.
Dr. Geneco comes to her new role from Tufts University in Massachusetts, where she has served as provost for the past four years. She is slated become the University at Buffalo's first woman president on August 10.
