In Memoriam: Melissa Trifiletti, 1969-2017

Melissa Trifiletti, vice president for enrollment and access at Colorado State University, died on August 13. She was 48 years old and had suffered from cancer.

Trifiletti was named director of admissions at Colorado State in 2014 and had achieved record enrollments over the past two years. She was promoted to vice president for enrollment and access in April but was unable to serve one day in her new role due to her illness.

Before coming to Colorado State University, Trifiletti was executive director of admissions at Portland State University in Oregon. Earlier, she served on the staff at Emory University in Atlanta.

A native of Lorain, Ohio, Trifiletti was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.
