Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio, Names Vicky Wood as its Seventh President

The next president of Washington State Community CollegeThe board of trustees at Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio, has named Vicky Wood as the educational institution’s seventh president. She will take office on July 1.

Washington State Community College, near the West Virginia border in southeastern Ohio, enrolls nearly 1,500 students. Women make up 63 percent of the student body.

Dr. Wood currently serves as provost and vice president of academic affairs and student services at Marion Technical College in Marion, Ohio. Earlier, she served as dean of business information technologies and criminal justice at Marion Tech.

Dr. Wood is a graduate of Ashland University in Ohio. She earned a master’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a Ph.D. in higher education leadership from the University of Toledo in Ohio.
