The Society of Translational Academic Research has recognized Nalanda Roy, professor at Georgia Southern University, for her outstanding research on South and Southeast Asian maritime security and conflicts.

Rose Mary Healy Dougherty served as president of the White Plains campus of Berkeley College from 1991 to 1995. In January 1996, she was appointed senior vice president of academic affairs at Berkeley College in New York City. She was named provost there in 2005
Dr. Gaber currently serves as the first woman president of the University of Toledo in Ohio. She became president in 2015 following six years as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Gaber will become chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on July 1.
A native of Montreal, Judith Saffran and her husband moved to Ohio and had long careers at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Her research focused on the binding of hormones to cell protein.
In 1974, Dr. Mathies joined the instructional technology faculty in the College of Education and Human Services at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. In 2010, she was named dean of the Lake Campus in Celina, Ohio.
Currently, Dr. Brown is provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Previously, she served as interim president of Valdosta State University in Georgia.
The new deans are J. Meejin Yoon in the College of Architecture at Cornell University, Gale S. Etschmaier at the Florida State University Libraries, Anne L. Balazs in the College of Business and Innovation at the University of Toledo, and Kimberly Chestnut in student affairs at the University of Wyoming.
Dr. Wood currently serves as provost and vice president of academic affairs and student services at Marion Technical College in Marion, Ohio. Earlier, she served as dean of business information technologies and criminal justice at Marion Tech.
