New Administrative Roles for Five Women at Major Universities

sampson_sky3Sky K. Sampson was appointed director of the Cherokee Center at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. Since 2011, Sampson has been program manager for the Cherokee Youth Council of the Cherokee Boys Club.

Sampson is a 2010 graduate of Western Carolina University, where she majored in communication. She holds a master’s degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Alabama.

delalueShontay Delalue was promoted to assistant provost for global engagement at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Delalue joined the university in 2013 and had been serving as an associate dean of the college. She is also the director of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program.

Dr. Delalue holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree from the University of Maine. She earned a Ph.D. in education from the University of Rhode Island/Rhode Island College.

moutonSarah Mouton was named director of alumni affairs at the University of Louisiana Monroe. She has been serving as a fundraising officer for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Mouton is a 2013 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she majored in business administration with a concentration in marketing.

debbiemcloudDebbie McLoud is the new associate vice chancellor for human resources at the University of Arkansas. She has been serving in the post on an interim basis since July. She has been on human resources staff at the university for the past 25 years.

McLoud holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of Arkansas.

gillSusan Gill was promoted to director of new media at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She had been serving as web project manager for the Office of Communications and Marketing in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the university.

Gill is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she majored in journalism.
