Anne Ehrlich was appointed vice president for student development at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. Since 2007, she has been dean of students at Woodbury University in Burbank, California. Prior to her work at Woodbury University, Dr. Ehrlich held positions in residential life and student life at Whittier College in California and the University of Michigan.
Dr. Ehrlich received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of California, San Diego. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in educational leadership from University of California, Los Angeles.
Leisa Julian was named vice chancellor and chief financial officer at the University of Kansas, effective February 15. She has been serving as associate vice president for business and auxiliary services at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Julian holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Ball State University and a law degree from Indiana University.
Allyson Cannon is the new director of marketing and communications for the West Virginia University Alumni Association. She was the recruitment and social media manager for the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Cannon is a 2009 graduate of the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University.
Kathy Barnard was appointed executive director of the Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Idaho and the University of Idaho Alumni Association. She was the executive director of university communications at Washington State University.
Barnard is a 1981 graduate of the University of Idaho, where she majored in journalism.
Johnese Spisso was named associate vice chancellor of health sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles. She will also serve as president of UCLA Health and CEO of the UCLA Hospital System. She has been serving as vice president of medical affairs for the University of Washington.
A registered nurse, Spisso holds a bachelor’s degree from Chapman University in Orange, California, and holds a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of San Francisco.
Clothilde Hewlett was named executive director of the Cal Alumni Association at the University of California, Berkeley. She is a partner in the law firm Nossaman LLP.
Hewlett is a 1976 graduate of the University of California with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She earned a law degree at Berkeley in 1979.
Braswell comes to her new appointment with extensive leadership experience in state government, including her current role as general counsel to Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont. In her new role, she will provide strategic oversight for the 16 campuses within Connecticut's public higher education system.
Jennifer Gaither, a lawyer by training, has been a Sullivan University faculty member for the past 25 years. She most recently served as the university's associate provost.
Dr. Crowley has served as provost at Ohio Wesleyan University since 2020. She is slated to become the nineteenth president of Kalamazoo College on July 1.
The three women named to provost positions are Nancy Marchand-Martella at the University of Northern Colorado, Lise Youngblade at Colorado State University, and Randi Storch at Western Oregon University.
Although it was initially founded as school for women, the University of Montevallo has never had a woman president. Now the university has reached a historic milestone and selected selected Michelle R. Johnston to serve as its next president.
The selected candidate should have expertise and experience in theoretical models in labor and public economics as well as in microeconometrics and programming.
