
A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Dr. Fisk taught in the university’s School of Nursing for 20 years and served as the school’s director of special programs. She retired from teaching in 1997. Dr. Fisk was the founder of a halfway house for recovering women alcoholics in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Dr. Fisk was a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She held master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
