Jewel Washington is the new assistant vice president of human resources at the University of Maryland, College Park. She was interim vice president of human resources at the University of New Mexico. She had been on the staff at the University of New Mexico since 2000.
Washington is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She holds a master’s degree in human resources development from Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri.
Diane Marie Amann is the inaugural associate dean for international programs and strategic initiatives at the University of Georgia School of Law. Professor Amann joined the faculty at the law school in 2011 and holds the Emily and Ernest Woodruff Chair in International Law.
Professor Amann is a graduate of the University of Illinois and the Northwestern University School of Law. She also holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a doctorate from the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands.
Taniecea Arceneaux Mallery was named director of equity, diversity, and community engagement at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. She was a senior diversity research specialist at the Association of American Medical Colleges in Washington, D.C.

Gretchen R. VanValkenburg was appointed vice president for alumni affairs and executive director of the Alumni Association at Auburn University in Alabama. She has been serving as executive director of development and alumni engagement at the University of West Florida in Pensacola. She has been on the staff at the University of West Florida since 1997.
