Yasmin Delahoussaye Is the New Leader of Los Angeles Southwest College

DelahoussayeYasmin J. Delahoussaye was named interim president of Los Angeles Southwest College, a campus of the Los Angeles Community College District. She will serve as interim president for the current academic year. According to the latest U.S. Department of Education data, the college enrolls about 6,700 students and 70 percent of the student body are women.

Since 2010, Dr. Delahoussaye has been serving as vice chancellor of educational programs and institutional effectiveness for the Los Angeles Community College District. She has been an administrator for the district since 1988 and previously served on the faculty of the School of Education at the University of California at Los Angeles.

Dr. Delahoussaye is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, where she majored in history. She holds a master’s degree from California State University, Northridge and a doctorate in educational leadership from UCLA.
